African Souvenirs

What is better than to bring a little souvenir or artefact back home from a trip. We just love it and our house starts looking very African. :) There are so many things that we love to bring back and to remind us where we have been.

We don´t buy in curio shops, though. We try to buy as much as we can on the side of the road, directly from the artist. That supports him/her directly and doesn´t pay any unneccessary middleman.

Also, what we love much more than a new souvenir is an old artefact, with definite traces of use: it may be old, battered, cracked, dirty, whatever – sometimes the older, the better. There are many places and we will show you, where to buy if you come with us.
